(More customer reviews)I don't know about the price, how much other similar products cost, but these filters fit fine and do their work. I have light form of allergy and use these when I'm feeling problems with nose. After I insert filter nose stops running and I don't sneeze.
I'm not sure how many stars to choose.. the product itself is like 4 and 1/4 or 1/2 :) but free shipping abroad is very rare thing on Amazon...

Germ Guardian AC5000 UV-C and True HEPA Complete Air Cleansing System Review

When I first turned it on, it had a funny smell that was there whenever the UV-C light was on.
However, I didn't feel a lot of air, so I decided to open the back and make sure I hadn't left any plastic on the filters. The safety switch is triggered by a tiny plastic nub. When I gently removed the back, the plastic nub broke off. I tried to glue it back on, and it broke off again and wedged between the safety switch and the back wall, forcing the safety on.
We ran it last night, and will return it today.
I'm not sure if the funny smell is due to the UV system - we'll see on the next one.
I'll give it one more try.

After a lot of research, I made my purchase and am very satisfied. I can run it all the time, it's completely silent, small, and cleans my 1200 SF apartment. In my older place the Air Oasis seemed to put out a considerable amount more, which I later realized was due to the immense amount of toxins in that #&*$*@$ place! Thanks for a great buy. I have already recommended to others.

(More customer reviews)I have 3 Air Oasis systems in my 3 level home: 3000, 3000 Xtreme and a 5000. The 3000 is on the main level, covers about 700 sq. ft. and runs all the time. The Xtreme is in the basement and runs on a timer for 3 hours at night. It really seems to over-power the 500 square foot area otherwise. I have the 5000 upstairs also on a timer for 4 hours off and on during the day. The 3000 seems about perfect as I have several parrots and the kitchen to deal with. The larger systems will over-power smalle areas and I feel that too much ionization is not good. If the area is rather clean, you can feel a bit light headed with high ionization levels (in my opinion). I have used Air Oasis for over 5 years. The house always smells neutral and fresh. My colds/flu have gone down from 5 times a year to one. I would highly recommend these well-built and attractive systems for controlling the air quality in your home. They are high quality systems and require a new bulb about every 4 years. The 1000 would be a good solution to a large bedroom. I do combine them with the Oreck air filtration systems for complete air management.

(More customer reviews)I've used it in the room where I have single glass windows. Mold shown around the windows anyway. Lysol disinfectant from local store works better for mold. A few weeks ago I bought dehumidifier - much cheaper than AirFree. Dehumidifier really works. AirFree "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" doesn't mean that much. I wanted to return AirFree when I opened this up and see what I got for $239. I was told that return costs 25% if you open the item plus shipping both ways - it comes $75. Now I now: I should return it anyway.
Amazon was may trusted store.
!!!! After this buy is not anymore. I need to be careful.
AirFree product is waste of money. I would not recommend to anybody.

It consists of a metallic fan base, and a big, cardboard enclosed hepa filter which plugs in behind the fan (the filter is the blue part depicted in the photo). The fan pulls air through the filter. It is simple but effective. It filters the air in my immediate vicinity and helps me breathe better (I have allergies and asthma). A worthwhile investment, since I spend a good portion of the day at my desk. It has an ionizer on the back, but truthfully, I'm not sure what kind of effect that has. They recommend changing the filter at least every four months, and the company has a program where you can enroll to receive filters at specified intervals. Filters cost $24.95 for one, and $39.95 for a set of two.
When I purchased this, I intended it as something I could transport with me when I travel, since it is so light and small. However, it is fragile and the first time I took it with me somewhere, it got a scratch on the filter from some minor shuffling. I would like to see a protective bag included along with this product to enable transporting it safely.
At $99.99, it is pricey for a personal air purifier. The main benefit of this air purifier over others is its minimalistic, aesthetically pleasing design. If a carrying bag were included, I would feel that I am getting my money's worth for this.

(More customer reviews)The LightAir IonFlow 50S Air Purifier is that rarest of finds; a product that is everything it claims to be and more. I have tried many air purifiers over the years with various results. I noticed over time that they fell into one of the following categories:
1. Essentially worthless- unable to do its job. Usually because of a poor design or by being underpowered.
2. Disposable- Quite a few air purifiers would be fine for a while and then lose effectiveness or stop working completely (usually within the 1st year of ownership). Typically the craftsmanship would be poor and the materials used would be cheap. Customer service would be a joke as well, so trying to fix one of these was a nightmare.
3. Overpriced- Very common category. The advertising would promise the moon, but the reality was that you were paying an extremely high price for mediocrity. Typically includes an ongoing cost for filters as well.
4. Esthetically Deficient- I mean seriously loud, ugly, huge, heavy, dirty, a hassle to clean, or all of the above.
I wish I had the patience to actually categorize each of the air purifiers I have tried so that you would stay away from them, but the best I can do is to say that the ONLY air purifier that I have ever owned that has done its job exactly as advertised while remaining totally silent, is easy to clean, has nothing to periodically replace and is actually stylish enough that many find it attractive is this one right here: the LightAir IonFlow 50S. I opted for the Airfree Onix 3000 because it was not only rated highly but, amazingly, required no maintenance.Within a matter of hours after plugging it in I noticed that the air smelled a lot fresher and the first morning after having the purifier in my room I woke up with almost no congestion in my nose (a first!)so it must be doing a good job of getting rid of the allergens. The best part is that because I am a light sleeper it's wonderful to have a purifier that is totally silent. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the anti-stress light but it's kind of a pretty so I may just leave it on. It's too early to comment on this product's longevity but I am extremely happy with it so far. So happy, in fact, that I am ordering 2 more for other parts of our house.
