Honeywell Fresh Breeze Tower Fan with Remote Control Review

Honeywell Fresh Breeze Tower Fan with Remote Control
Average Reviews:

I bought one of these fans locally and I liked it so much that I ordered another one from Amazon.
Here are the pros and cons as I see them.
Pros:
1. It pushes a lot of air - I can get a nice breeze from as far as 25 feet away.
2. It doesnt take up a lot of room.
3. It is not ugly like many fans are.
4. The remote control with flashlight is a nice feature even though I rarely use it. For the person who complained about one LED being burned out straight out of the box. Only one LED is for the flashlight. The other is for the remote control functions and doesnt illuminate.
Cons
1. The breeze feature is kind of annoying because of the fluctuation of the noise level.
2. You have to hold the remote in a specific postition to make it work. If the fan is oscillating, its hard to find that position.

The Honeywell 3-speed digital tower fan with ionizer exudes the feel of a spring breeze throughout your home. The powerful, Turbo Wind generator blades move more air than typical blades. You can turn on the breeze mode to simulate a gentle outdoor wind, or set the fan to shut off on its own in 2-, 4-, or 8-hour intervals. Either way, you can control it from your favorite spot with the convenient remote control, which features three cooling speeds and infrared technology. The tilted head also allows for directional cooling, and the strong motor operates with a quiet performance. Best of all, this fan's ionizer and dust/pollen filter can provide relief from allergies. What's in the Box Tower fan, remote control with three cooling speeds

We ordered this fan after reading another on-line review. It lives up to its reputation....it is very quiet and gives a good strong breeze when needed. It works so well that it almost feels like it has an 'air conditioning' effect. We love it and would recommend that you purchase this model if you are looking for a silent, strong fan that takes up very little space.

Lasko 4910 Platinum Desktop Wind Tower Oscillating Fan Review

Lasko 4910 Platinum Desktop Wind Tower Oscillating Fan

I picked up one of these fans for use in my office since I work in a room with various computers, and even with the AC on, it can get quite hot in there. This relatively compact unit doesn't take up that much room on your desk (about the same amount of space your average desk lamp would take up). It also has a nice oscillation feature, as well as a directional nozzle built into the upper half that can be used independently of the oscillation. Overall a nice fan and at a good price.
An update to this review: After four years of daily use (Monday through Friday, 9 to 5) this fan has finally gone to meet its maker. So, keeping that in mind, I would most definitely recommend this fan.

Front-mounted electronic controls offer three refreshing speed options to ensure just the right amount of cooling power. For added convenience, the fan's pivoting top module enables air movement in two stationary directions, while its optional oscillation feature works at any speed to provide even greater coverage. Shipped fully assembled for immediate use, the UL-listed fan measures 6 by 6 by 14 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

I'm so happy with it I just purchased another one. I did try multiple other brands but nothing compares to this quiet, solid beauty. I tried much more expensive fans that were noisier and poorly constructed. Trust me - this is a great fan, and it even has an air filter. It has all the features (3 speeds, a gusting wind/sleep setting, rotation and timer). The remote has a built-in flashlight which is great in the middle of the night. Love it.

Dyson Air Multiplier Table Fan, 10 Inches, Blue Review

Dyson Air Multiplier Table Fan, 10 Inches, Blue
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This fan is no air multiplier. See all those holes around the base of the fan? Those are the air inlets for the blower which they've thoughtfully hidden in the base. You can't get something for nothing - and that includes air.
Compared with a clip-on 6" fan, this fan is a waste of both money and space. That little clip-on costs $20 and moves 190 cubic feet per minute. The Dyson moves 40 cubic feet per minute (or as Dyson specifies: 5 gallons per second). Comparably sized tabletop fans move over a thousand cubic feet per minute.
Don't be fooled by the store displays. Those streamers are placed around the edge for a reason - that's the only place where the air is moving! Stand a few feet away from this fan and you will literally feel nothing.
Meanwhile, it's loud. That little 6" fan produces 37 decibels of sound. The Dyson is closer to 50. That's more than twice as loud (decibels are a log scale, every 10 is a doubling).
It's intriguing that some are so taken with this fan. It would have some benefits. It won't muss your hair, and it's unlikely to ruffle your papers. But let's be real - this is a fan, not a vase of flowers.
Buy this fan only if you prioritize owning a statement piece over owning a functioning fan.

A table fan that quietly and effectively cools an entire room without any blades? Introducing the Dyson Air Multiplier, which works differently from conventional fans. The Air Multiplier uses an airfoil-shaped ramp to amplify the airflow 15 to 18 times to create a cool blast of smooth air without the unpleasant buffeting caused by spinning blades. The energy-efficient motor draws in more than 5 gallons of air per second using the same technologies used in jet engines. The air passes over the airfoil-shaped ramp, which channels its direction. Air behind and around the machine is also drawn into the airflow, amplifying it at least 15 times for a quiet, cool breeze that will let you relax. With no blades or grille to get in the way, the Air Multiplier is safe around kids and pets, and it\'s easy to clean too. The touch-tilt feature pivots on its own center of gravity, letting it stay put without clamping. You can also adjust the airflow to get as much as you want. There\'s no "high," "medium," or "low"; the dimmer switch lets you set the exact power level you want. The Air Multiplier oscillates with a touch up to 90 degrees to cover a whole room. Includes base, loop amplifier, and operating manual. 2-year warranty. Measures 19.5 x 12 x 6 inches with 10-inch loop.

KAZ INC - Digital Tower Fan with Ionizer (HY047B) Review

KAZ INC - Digital Tower Fan with Ionizer (HY047B)

I use several tower fans to move air around my condo. I bought a pair of these Honeywell tower fans last year and have used them non-stop since. They work well, are quiet, move a good quantity of air for their size, and actually provide a bit of filtration as a bonus. (There is a removable filter that won't remove small particles but does catch things like cat hair). My only complaint is that the base that they sit on isn't very solid or weighty and this means the fans tend to wobble a bit. It's not really noticeable unless you bump into the fan, so it's really a minor complaint.
The fan has various settings which I've only used a few of (time delay shut down, oscillation, air speed) all of which can be controlled using the remote. I've not really used the remote much, so I can't really review how well it works.
Overall this is a nice, quiet tower fan. It does what it's supposed to do well, and that's all you can ask.

Crane Stainless Steel Tower Fan Review

Crane Stainless Steel Tower Fan

The fan overall looks and works amazing. It would be better if it just had a little more power on the top setting. However, the other features such as how far it rotates, the remote, the quietness, and appearance kind of balance that out. This isn't the fan for you if you're trying to stay cool with 100+ degree temperatures. But in mild weather and all you want is just some air circulation, this is the fan for you.

SPT SF-1521 LCD Remote Controlled Tower Fan with ION Review

SPT SF-1521 LCD Remote Controlled Tower Fan with ION
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After years of suffering through rattling fans, loud oscillating motors, and awkward remotes, I am so happy that I finally gave in and bought this fan. I sleep with a fan on every night - I find the humming sound comforting and I love a nice cool breeze throughout the night - well, this is the fan! My old fan was so loud and rattled throughout the whole night, this fan is quiet and has excellent features!
The oscillating feature works perfectly and smoothly, you hear no indication that the fan is turning. The timer feature is nice, but I don't tend to use it, so I can't really comment. The speed settings are great - even at it's most powerful speed, it isn't mind-boggling loud. As for the ION feature, who knows if this really works - sounds like a bunch of hooey to me :)
It would be nice if the price were a bit lower, but after suffering through years of cheap, horribly made fans, the price tag is well worth it to me.
