(More customer reviews)After finding myself going to the store every month and buying refills for plug-ins at $3 - $5 I was interested in this machine. I saw it a few weeks ago and was too lazy and just picked up my old refills for my plug-ins. I started to notice though my plug-ins were getting old and they needed to be replaced too, not only the scents. Plus, for years if you notice the refills for the plug-ins doesn't even last three days! Creatures of habit we are. So after realizing I probably had dumped more money into buying `replacements' I thought the price of this unit was really reasonable. I bought mine for $36.99 and it comes with a scent CD. I too was not crazy with the scents just be reading them. When I bought the unit it seemed bulky but that proved me wrong. I opened the container and was surprised the unit was smaller than I thought. People who wrote it was too large or not small enough, when you buy the box what do you think you are getting? It is wrapped in a clear plastic container. I was happy not only with the size but the design. Very easy to function; it took me longer to remove the tape to open the container than it did to plug it all in. I opted to place the unit in the bedroom since it occasionally has a `stale' smell to the air. I had just cleaned the linens and plugged in the unit and when I walked back in the room I was pleasantly surprised at how well the distribution of the scent was! The bedroom had a really clean smell to it and it was very relaxing. I found myself walking in and out of the room like an idiot to get `fresh whiff'. I turned the scent down (you can have it at three levels) and I still can smell it in the hallway but it is not overwhelming. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it for anyone looking to scent up a place hassle free. Febreze has always had great products and this is just another one on their list. I would highly recommend this product.

Sharper Image Ionic Breeze 2.0 for Bathrooms & Small Spaces Review

Got this Ionic Breeze 2.0 for free after buying the Hybrid GP. Retail value is $79.95. In theory the product is supposed to freshen the air and trap dirt. Well, does it? Yes. But then the real question is - how effective is it? I plugged the 2.0 in my bathroom and it runs 24x7. I clean it at least once a week and I do find dirt trapped in its collector plates.
Unlke the motherload gigantic Hybrid GP that you can smell the change in clean air when you enter/exit a room, this tiny version can only do so much. And in a high traffic area like the bathroom where the door opens and closes to introduce more "unclean" air, the product has to work hard to constantly clean the air. To do this on this small scale product - the door has to be shut and you can only feel fresh air after a few hours.
Design:
Simple. Not space-age looking. Blends well in a wall socket and allows the use of the second outlet below. It has a soft orange glow to act as a night light.
Cleaning:
Just pull out the small collector plate and wipe with a soft damp cloth. For dirt trapped in the single ionizing wire, gently shake the product itself to let the bead slide up and down the wire. Careful because this is a thin, fragile wire. So do this gently and on rare occassions. How do you know the ionizing wire is dirty? You'll hear a faint zapping sound. Its definitely dirt trapped on the vibrating wire.
Performance:
Like I mentioned above, its too small of a product to make a difference in a high traffic area. Perhaps if this was in a closet that was rarely opened...
The product shorted out after I cleaned the blades with a damp cloth and put it back after a few minutes only. When I plugged it back, no air coming out and a slight burning smell. Unplugged immediately and never worked. Again, unlike it's bigger performing brother, this can't handle any sign of moisture in the blades or you would short the components. The Hybrid GP can handle a moist blade and has a built in drying feature if it detects such occurence. With this product, it just burns out. Scary. And this is confirmed by the product's sticker label that issues the same warning.
I did bring it to the store and without question they replaced it.
I am keeping the product only because it's free. Otherwise, I wouldn't buy this product for any price, let alone $79.95! If I were to spend toward $100, I'll just save up some more for a larger and higher performing Ionic Breeze.
Hope this helps out with the purchasing decision. Get it if it was given for free with a more expensive purchase. Otherwise, pass.

Half the time, the smoke blows right back in so I place this on a wall outlet nearby. It seems to work because I took it down for a couple of weeks and I started noticing when he was smoking while I was in other rooms of the house. I believe it is capturing a significant amount of the smoke and filtering it very well.

I bought this to use in rooms of my home and office, not my refrigerator, so I don't know how effective the size of this product will be for that purpose, which is why I gave it only three stars.
Hopefully it will work equally well for using outside of the fridge, but only time will tell.

Then I put it in my fridge and it worked there as well--when the fresh baking soda didn't work at all. The only thing I didn't realize is that there is no smell--it doesn't replace the stink with something clean or fresh, it just absorbs the bad odor. So the trash smells like plastic and trash, and the fridge like cold and old food, but none of the awful smells linger.

(More customer reviews)I have been singing the praises of this little device since I first plugged it in. I bought it for the kitchen but, found that the outlet space was a little to small. So, I made room for it in the bathroom. Am I ever glad I did. That thing will NEVER leave the bathroom again! When you're finished in the bathroom, there is NO odor. Great for having guests over during the holidays. You know how there is always ONE who really lights up the bathroom? If you don't know, then you're probably the one I'm talking about. Anyway, the odor removal appliance works great for those special events. It's a great investment. It doesn't cover odors, it ELIMINATES them! Even when we spray our fragrance in the bathroom, the smell never leaves the room. I can't say enough about it. Okay, I can. And, I'll wrap it up here. Buy it, you won't be sorry. I'm getting more for other parts of the house.

(More customer reviews)For the holidays, I usually like to go to my favorite hotel to get lost. Unfortunately, I'm a smoker and the rooms I'm booked into smell like they just had a poker game. I decided to get this for my latest trip.
Within 3 hours after plugging it in, the smell left and even after I had a cigarette, the odor was gone within an hour. I'll probably leave the room smelling better than when I checked in.
Great product. And yes, I will eventually quit smoking.
