(More customer reviews)I have only owned this product for one day so I can't say anything about the reliability, but I am impressed by this product. First off everyone should know that this bulb is whiter than the normal CFL. I would consider it a daylight spectrum bulb. I was not expecting this because the company sells a different model for that, maybe that one is even whiter. Some people will most likely say that this unit doesn't produce a lot of ions because they are looking for that ozone smell that most ionizers have. Since this unit produces little to no ozone you cannot go by that indication. The only way you can tell is by paying attention to the way you feel breathing or by lighting up a cigarette in your house. That being said this unit produces a lot of negative ionization. It blows away my air filters that have built ionizers. I am even more impressed with Purely products lifestyle ionizer(no light) but think it's overpriced because it's $50 for twice the ionization of the CFL and no light. If they can throw the ionizer into the cfl and still sell it for $13 than it must be pretty cheap to produce. I was very impressed to see the black fibers on the emitter of the ionizer. I have seen this on other super high performance ionizers and that kind of emitter is supposed to be maintenance free. If I had to guess, two of these CFL's should out ionize an Ionic Breeze Quadra but without the crackling noise and ozone. I am glad this new ionizer technology does not have those dust plates since most of the air cleaning action takes place out in the room as the negative charge causes particles to drop out of suspension to the floor. These will probably sell much better in Europe and Russia because they are keeping up with ionizer developments and ionizers are even mandatory in many places there. I would like to see a switch added to these to allow the ionizer to stay on while the light is turned off, then it could be used at night while you sleep.

(More customer reviews)Truth be told, I've only had this unit for a few days now. My small home is only 672 sq ft, relatively open interior. This heater produces consistent heat with no highs and lows, very quiet and I'm told very safe. Purchased mine at Tractor and Supply, ad said usage cost about $1.00 p/day, that I've yet to see (too early) and won't be surprised if raises my electric bill more than that. Over the long run I would have to use it quite a bit to equal the $5,000. plus cost I was quoted for a new central furnace. It'll do for now ...

(More customer reviews)We received an ecoquest safehearth heater for Christmas in 2008. My mother-in-law purchased one for her and one for my family. They worked well for the for the 3 to 4 months that we used them during the cold weather. I plugged mine in for the first time this winter and it will not will kick on, when it does it blows cold air. My mother-in-laws is doing the same thing. I called the company but since it is out of waranty, there is nothing that can be done to fix my unit. According the rep. from ecoquest, they do not service this unit, if it goes bad during warranty the company will simply send you a replacement, after that, you are on your own. Not only can they not repair the machine, they do not sell the parts so that someone else can. My mother in law paid $800 for two units and both of them are useless. Think twice about purchasing this heater, what a joke for customer service!!!!!!!!

(More customer reviews)My basement runs about 80% humidity all year round and stays about a constant 62 as well.I have had this unit running for a month and it has done everything I have asked of it.The basement is 1200 square foot and this dehumidifier has lowered the humidity to 55% which is where I have it set.I have it hosed to a drain and it is fairly loud on the high setting.The only negative I would note is the bucket seems a little flimsy if you are opting not to hose it to a drain.Actually it is the handle of the bucket that is suspect.Overall very happy with this product.

(More customer reviews)I am a skeptical buyer. I bought our first one to see if it would eliminate pollen in the house. It seemed to do a fair job of it. My surprise, was its getting rid of the dog odor. We have a hound and they just stink. Period. Frequent baths help, but his bed always stinks after only a day of use. If he slept in our bedroom, it would noticeably stink in the morning. The EdenPure area model ended that. Our home no longer smells to visitors. I bought one for my grandchildren. Today I am buying a third unit. Buy it, and unlike the two-star dummy, READ the BOOK stupid, and use it as directed, with frequent washing of the filter. Just a simple observation: if, when washing the filter, stuff comes off, isn't that something you didn't have to breathe? Duh!

We have tried ONA blocks, baking soda, and we have a HEPA filter in the room too and it would still smell. I was skeptical about this little bulb, but my boyfriend really wanted to try it and I am glad that we did. The litter boxes are barely noticeable now. We have found our solution!
