(More customer reviews)I put my Cat Mate Elite Super Selective door through an outside wall in my house so I ordered an extension liner as recommended. Unfortunately, they really only add a couple of inches to the tunnel, so I needed to order two more. With a total of three wall liners I was able to make a very nice, waterproof tunnel for my furry family. They fit together perfectly but there is no real "adjustment" room. They're either connected or they're not, so you should measure your opening depth carefully and get one of these for every two inches extra you need to cover.
Like I said, for an exterior home wall I needed three. For a regular interior door you should not need any, and for a regular interior wall, even though it recommends a liner, I would be willing to bet that you would need two.
