(More customer reviews)The unit has two fan speeds and moves a lot of air even at the low speed and quiet. The design is quite different with two electrostatic filters cells one on each side and the output in the center front bottom.
The unit just has to be cleaned once in a while wash the cells. The U/V bulbs are large and perminent and yes TWO one on each filter. Have had experience with these and they can last for years 7+.
You just don't have them on all the time. The ion generator feature is pretty strong compared to others and the size over all is not huge.
I think for the dollar this is a great unit. Cells are fragile so be careful when cleaning.
