I purchased the Mini-Classic II water distiller through Amazon.com after researching a variety of countertop models. This model appeared a more lasting investment. I've had it about a month and can say it is fantastic! The parts are metal, it arrives fully assembled, it's well constructed and durable, easy to clean, the size is well suited to my counter, the jar is glass with a plastic pour lid, it's simple to operate (no electronics), it shuts itself off when finished with a batch, maintenance is minimal and it works great. There is no metal taste whatsoever to my distilled water. Even guests notice how uniquely sweet and clean this water tastes. A valued purchase. And it is made in America.
